Khalid Azzam MBBS, DABIM, FACP, FRCPC, CPE

Khalid Azzam was an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine at McMaster University. He had senior leadership responsibility in the Faculty of Health Sciences as the Assistant Dean for the Continuing Health Sciences Education (CHSE) Program. He established the CHSE Research and Innovation Fund to promote scholarly activities in Continuing Professional Development with a focus on research, innovation, and program evaluation. He was also the inaugural Director of Simulation in the Internal Medicine Residency Program and have been instrumental in the development and implementation of a graduated simulation curriculum in Internal Medicine.

Khalid Azzam current clinical practice is focused on inpatient General Internal Medicine on the Clinical Teaching Unit with interest in Point of Care Ultrasound for diagnostic applications. His outpatient practice is focused on medical management of obesity and cardiovascular risk factors modification. He was currently the Chief of Medicine at Hamilton General Hospital, Hamilton Health Sciences.
