As of January 1, 2019, Dr. Med. Khalid Sayed Ahmed took over responsibility for the Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology at the Rhein-Maas Clinic as the new chief physician.
Since July 1, 2018, Dr. Med. Sayed Ahmed as a senior physician at the Urology Clinic. From August 1, 2018, he was deputy head of the Clinic for Urology and Pediatric Urology.
Dr. med. Sayed Ahmed's work covers the entire field of surgical urology in all difficulty classes, including conservative, open surgical as well as endoscopic, laparoscopic, and reconstructive-plastic urology, as well as urological prosthetics. A particular focus is on plastic-reconstructive urology with a focus on urethral reconstruction. He heads the area of laparoscopy and reconstructive urology. He had previously founded and developed a similar department in the Düren hospital.
Dr. med. Sayed Ahmed is one of 5,000 urologists who, after successful examination, hold the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU). He is also a member of the German Society for Urology (DGU), the European Association of Urology (EAU), and the Egyptian Association of Urology (EUA).
