Khaled Ezzedine is a Doctor, Professor of Dermatology, holds a Doctorate in epidemiology, and an Accreditation to Direct Research in epidemiology. In 2008, he joined the National Reference Center for Rare Skin Diseases in Bordeaux, CHU De Bordeaux. He is also a researcher attached to the joint research unit INSERM U1153/INRA U1125 at the University of Paris 13. His major themes of interest are pigmentation disorders including vitiligo and disorders on ethnic skin, skin aging, and the search for its determinants, attitudes and practices towards solar exposure, and the construction of quality of life scales.

Since 2015, he has been appointed Professor of Dermatology at the University of Paris Est Créteil and joined the dermatology department of Henri Mondor Hospital. To date, he has written more than two hundred and twenty scientific articles and book chapters, including nearly 200 publications listed in PUBMED. He has been an Associate Editor of the scientific journal British Journal of Dermatology in the Epidemiology section since 2015. In addition, he is a reviewer for several renowned medical journals, such as the Lancet, British Journal of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Journal Of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Investigative Dermatology among others.
