Dr. Emerick is an otolaryngologist with fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Reconstructive surgery. His practice is based at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Emerick's clinical focus is two-fold: The first is on the surgical management of head and neck tumors. This includes both benign and malignant tumors involving skin, aerodigestive tract and salivary glands. The second is on reconstructive surgery associated with head and neck tumors. This includes the management of Moh's surgical defects, local and regional flap reconstruction, and microvascular free tissue transplantation.

Dr. Emerick is also actively involved in clinical research. His research includes the assessment of surgical outcomes following head and neck reconstructive surgery and the study of unique features of head and neck melanoma and utility of sentinel lymph node biopsy in the head and neck region. He also studies head and neck cancer survival outcomes in coordination with the Laboratory for Quantitative Medicine. Dr. Emerick is also active in the resident and fellowship training programs at the Harvard Combined Otolaryngology Program.
