Dr. Kevin Bonner primarily specializes in the treatment of injuries and disorders involving the knee and shoulder. He focuses on the least invasive cutting edge treatment strategies that are based on the latest scientific evidence available. Prior to joining the Jordan-Young Institute, Dr. Bonner served as an Orthopedic Surgeon for the US Navy. He served as the Chief of Sports Medicine at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth prior to leaving the Navy in 2002 to join the Jordan-Young Institute.
Teaching as faculty for many academic national and international orthopedic conferences allows Dr. Bonner to evaluate the latest techniques and devices that are being developed throughout the world at their earliest stages. In fact, Dr. Bonner has helped develop some of the techniques and procedures currently used today in the United States. He also serves on national expert panels to optimize surgical proficiency for surgeons learning sports-related and arthroscopic procedures including arthroscopic rotator cuff repair and ACL reconstruction.
