Kevin Cooper MSc, MD, MRCOG

Dr Kevin Cooper was appointed as a consultant gynaecologist and honorary senior lecturer at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 1998. He was then awarded private consulting privileges in 1999 at BMI Albyn Hospital Aberdeen.Whilst he is trained to provide a high level of care in all areas of benign gynaecology, his areas of special interest are in endometriosis, menstrual problems, prolapse and incontinence.

In addition to being a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Dr Cooper has an MSc in Health Services Research from Aberdeen University. His MD thesis (Edinburgh University) was on the management of menstrual disorders and he has continued ongoing research in this and other areas (see publications link above). He is on the editorial board for the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Dr Kevin Cooper is also a member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy and served on council between 2007 and 2010, and was chair of the research and audit group. In 2009 he became chair of the guidelines group for the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
