Kenya Beard EdD, AGACNP-BC, NP-C, CNE, ANEF, FAAN

Dr. Beard is a nurse educator and has over 30 years of nursing experience in acute and long-term care settings. Students across the state have sought her assistance to prepare for and pass the NCLEX-RN for more than a decade. She has improved the NCLEX-RN pass rate for several nursing programs in New York. She received her EdD from Dowling College and her MS in Adult Health from Stony Brook University. Her research focuses on strengthening the capacity of academia to graduate a diverse workforce that's more prepared to advance health equity.

Dr. Beard founded Long Island Adult Health, an NP owned and operated company that provided primary care to homebound patients. She is a board certified Acute Care Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator. She currently serves on the editorial board for the American Journal of Nursing. She is a fellow in the New York Academy of Medicine, National League for Nursing and the American Academy of Nursing. She has published several articles and lectures on best practices for educating nursing students. Her expertise in nursing and her ability to deliver dynamic lectures has helped hundreds of nurses pass the NCLEX-RN and safely care for patients.
