Kenny Mccormick MD

Dr Kenny McCormick is a Consultant Neonatologist at John Radcliffe Hospital and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Oxford University having trained in Edinburgh, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Melbourne. He has a long-standing interest in neonatal nutrition and was a member of the research group in Newcastle who developed and introduced the practice of feeding preterm babies enriched milk following hospital discharge to improve growth. He was expert advisor to the 2010 NCEPOD review into the care of patients receiving parenteral nutrition which found that only a quarter of babies had care that was considered to represent good practice. Following this, parenteral nutrition provision was included as a quality outcome measure for all neonatal units in the UK resulting in significant improvements in practice
