Dr. Kenneth Lau graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Lau has studied extensively and achieved many credentials for his work in orthodontics, cephalometrics, TMD, 3-D imaging, and Software Development. His approach to diagnosing and treating Orthodontic and T.M.J. pain problems is a comprehensive evaluation of medical history, dental history, 3-D imaging, occlusal exam, airway exam, O.S.A., and muscle studies. The treatment protocol is to treat the problems' cause and not just the symptoms. Oral facial dysfunction is best defined as dysfunction of the Teeth-Muscles-Jaw joint complex.

Dr. Lau’s many achievements include a Fellowship and master's with the International College of CranioMandibular Orthopedics. He also holds a Fellowship and Distinguished Fellowship with the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Finally, he has achieved Fellowship, Diplomate, and Master Senior Instructor status with the International Association for Orthodontics. The IAO has also bestowed its two highest awards to Dr. Lau, the Dr. Waldemar Brehm Education Award and the Dr. Leon Pinsker Achievement Award. Dr. Lau has also held some of the highest leadership positions in the IAO as he is currently the North Central Sectional President and was the President of the Association from 2022-2023.
