Kenneth J. Tomecki MD, FAAD

As president, Dr. Tomecki will lead the world’s largest dermatologic society, representing more than 20,000 physicians specializing in the diagnosis and medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatment of skin, hair, and nail conditions. He will also hold the same position for the American Academy of Dermatology Association, a sister organization to the AAD that focuses on government affairs, health policy, and practice information.

Dr. Tomecki earned his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York, followed by a fellowship at National Cancer Institute, NIH in Bethesda, MD before completing his dermatology residency at the SUNY at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. He is currently a staff physician in the department of dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.

Dr. Tomecki currently serves the AAD as an editorial board member for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Before that, he served as an assistant editor of JAAD and, most recently, as AAD vice president and a member of the board of directors. Dr. Tomecki is former vice president of the International Society of Dermatology and former vice president of the American Dermatological Association.
