Kelly M. Shaffer BA, MS, PhD

Kelly M. Shaffer obtained her PhD in clinical psychology in 2016 from the University of Miami, with her clinical internship completed through the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School Behavioral Medicine Service. She is currently a Co-Chief Fellow in the T32 Research Fellowship in Psycho-Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Her research interests include the development, dissemination, and implementation of effective, low-burden interventions for cancer patients and their family members.

Her dissertation examining the dyadic interdependence of colorectal cancer patients' depression and stress biomarkers was supported by a F31 National Research Service Award from the National Cancer Institute. Her research has resulted in eight first-author publications across top-tier health psychology journals, including Cancer, Health Psychology, and Supportive Care in Cancer.
