Kazuo Tsubota MD, PhD

Dr. Kazuo Tsubota, MD Ph.D. serves as Chief Surgeon at the Minamiaoyama Eye Clinic in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Tsubota is a Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Ophthalmology, Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan, and also Visiting Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology, Tokyo Dental College, Chiba, Japan. He serves as Scientific Advisor of TearLab Corporation. Dr. Tsubota served as a Member Scientific Advisory Board of NanoViricides, Inc. since July 2008. Dr. Tsubota serves as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of TearLab Research Inc. Dr. Tsubota has been a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Novagali Pharma S.A. since 2004. He was the first Japanese recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor Award in 1994. He is the author of more than 350 scientific peer-reviewed articles. He is the editor of several specialty books in ophthalmology and is also a reviewer for many international journals in ophthalmology. Dr. Tsubota an internationally recognized eye specialist received MD Degree from Keio University School of Medicine in 1980.
