Kaushik is the CEO of Healthspring, India’s leading primary care provider. Healthspring provides high-quality, standards-based, ethical and appropriate primary care to individuals and families through its neighbourhood clinics (32 clinics in 3 cities), and integrated corporate and occupational health solutions to companies and institutions in India (across 50+ cities in India). It has served more than 800,000 patients, and plans to set up more than 250 clinics across India in the next several years. Healthspring has won a number of prestigious awards and is considered at the forefront of primary care, patient issues, and consumer-driven healthcare in India.
Prior to founding Healthspring, Kaushik worked with management consulting firm Bain & Co. in Boston and Delhi for 10+ years. At Bain, Kaushik worked extensively with hospitals, pharma and medtech companies as well as with Private Equity firms. Kaushik was one of the senior founders for Bain’s entry into India, and was responsible for heading up Bain India’s recruiting, in addition to case work.
Kaushik plays a key part in government and industry bodies that are driving reforms and progress in healthcare and health insurance in India, and has been a featured speaker and panellist at international and national conferences. Kaushik received a full scholarship to Colby College, where he majored in Mathematics and Economics, and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School in 2003. He is a Salzburg Global Fellow and was on the Economic Times’ annual “40 under 40” brightest young Business Leaders in 2017
