Katsushi Okazaki DDS, PhD

Dr. Katsushi Okazaki is currently a full-time Associate Professor in the Department of Endodontics at New York University School of Dentistry, where he is involved in education and practice in the postgraduate program and is the director of the residency course. He is engaged in research, education, and clinical practice as a full-time instructor and endodontist. He is one of the few dentists who teach at an endodontic specialist program in the United States. He also practices as an endodontist at the dental clinic of New York University School of Medicine, Langone Medical Center. His expertise in endodontics includes non-surgical root canal treatment, complex surgical root canal treatment, management of traumatic teeth, and differential diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial pain. He graduated from Aichi Gakuin University School of Dentistry in 1987 and obtained his MD from Aichi Medical University in 2002. After conducting research at the Department of Development and Surgical Sciences at the University of Minnesota, he graduated from the New York University School of Dentistry in 2012. From the New York University College of Dentistry, he received the Distinguished Educators Award in 2015, the Research Award in 2018, and the Dean's Honors Day, A CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE, In recognition of outstanding professional distinction in 2019.
