Katsuhiro Miura has been dedicated to patient care and clinical research in the Department of Hematology/Oncology. As a result, Katsuhiro Miura has achieved several academic appointments and served as a chief oncologist of a thousand-bed teaching hospital.
Katsuhiro Miura is mostly interested in the improvement of clinical outcomes of patients with lymphomas, especially those who have advanced, relapsed, or refractory diseases. Katsuhiro Miura's recent work is to explore the concurrent overexpression of MYC and BCL2 in advanced/high-risk and relapsed/refractory Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphomas (DLBCL). In this work, Katsuhiro Miura succeeded in finding new aspects in treating patients with highly treatment-resistant DLBCL. Katsuhiro Miura has also conducted a multicenter analysis to develop a new decision-making model for treating elderly patients with DLBCL.
