Katie Wells MD, MPH

Katie Mccoy Wells, MD, MPH is the Director of International Emergency Medicine and Network Emergency Department Director for Health Equity for the University of Vermont (UVM). She is also an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. Dr. Wells’ global health research and educational initiatives focus on emergency care system development and advocacy for global emergency care. Katie Wells is the Director of the Global Health Bridge Course for the UVM Larner College Of Medicine, the Course Director for the Division of Emergency Medicine Health Equity Curriculum, as well as the Course Director for the UVM Larner College of Medicine Migrant Farmworker Health Equity Initiative. Dr. Wells works closely with the African Federation of Emergency Medicine (AFEM), and the Emergency Care Society of Uganda (ECSU).
