Katie Catlender is responsible for leading the organization’s strategic business efforts for Medicaid, Exchange and Commercial growth and retention, and to ensure that the customer is taken into consideration at all times, in all departments, and in all major decisions. Ms. Catlender designs, orchestrates, and continually improves NHP's customer experience—focusing on growth and integrated solutions and products. In this role, Ms. Catlender leads NHP's Commercial Sales, Product and Benefits Management, Customer and Provider Services, Provider Relations, Appeals and Grievances, and supporting operations, such as Quality Control, Reporting and Analysis, and Training.
Ms. Catlender has over 20 years of health care operations leadership experience with expertise in process redesign, sales operations, customer service, business oversight of complex IT systems implementations, and initiatives that support health reform and administrative cost reduction efforts while achieving service excellence for customers. Prior to joining NHP, she led a variety of service and operations functions at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Ms. Catlender earned a bachelor's degree in Health Management and Policy from the University of New Hampshire. She holds the Certified Health Insurance Executive (CHIE) certification from America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and several leadership designations, including Women Unlimited LEAD, Boston College executive Leadership for Change, and the AHIP Executive Leadership Program with Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
