Katia Flavia Fernandes MD, PhD

Dr. Katia F. Fernandes is a Professor in the Universidade Federal de Goiás, at Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department. Dr. Fernandes received MD from Federal University of Ceara (Plant Biochemistry), a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) from UNICAMP State University of Campinas and postdoctoral studies from the University of Murcia Spain and State University of Londrina, Brazil.

She is the author of several publications, book chapters, and several patents. Her professional interests are in the area of Protein and Carbohydrate Chemistry, Polymer synthesis using clean technologies, Biomolecules Immobilization and Biodegradable materials.
