Kathy Wire JD, MBA, CPHRM, CPPS

Kathryn Wire, JD MBA CPPS FASHRM, is a consultant and legal advisor for the Center for Patient Safety. She has an extensive background in healthcare risk management and safety, as well as medical malpractice claims management. She was a Director of Progams in those areas for BJC Healthcare and Mercy in St. Louis and has also supported other providers as an independent consultant and interim director throughout the country. She has been a frequent speaker and author about patient safety and transparency in healthcare, Patient Safety Organizations and enterprise risk management. She is an active member and contributor for the American Health Lawyers Association and the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, for which she serves on the Editorial Board for the Society's award-winning journal.
