Kathy Pichora-fuller PhD

Kathy Pichora-Fuller, Ph.D., is a full professor of psychology at the University of Toronto. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in audiology and speech sciences at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Dr. Pichora-Fuller was a clinical audiologist and supervisor of audiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and later completed a Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Tennessee. Until 2002, she was on faculty in the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences and director of the Institute for Hearing Accessibility Research at UBC.

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research fund Dr. Pichora-Fuller's research. She is the hearing expert for the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging and co-chair of the XXXIII World Congress of Audiology, to be held in Vancouver, British Columbia, in September 2016. In 2014, Dr. Pichora-Fuller received the International Award of the American Academy of Audiology.
