Kathryn M. Kellogg MD, MPH

Kathryn M. Kellogg, MD, MPH, is an attending physician in Emergency Medicine, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and a clinical safety scientist, National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. In addition, she is an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine, Clinician Scholar Track, Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kellogg’s background includes training in systems engineering, human factors, and patient safety. She completed a Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety course at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her work on patient safety, emergency care, and avoidance of adverse events has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Pediatric Emergency Care and Annals of Emergency Medicine.
Her medical degree is from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Rochester, NY. She completed a residency in emergency medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Her master of public health degree is from Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, Hanover, NH.
