Kathryn H. Bowles PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI

Kathryn H. Bowles, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI conducts research and has expertise in transitional care, decision support, home care, and electronic health record. She was an invited consultant on the Improving Safe Transitions Technical Expert Panel for CMA, served as a Care Coordination Steering Committee member of the National Quality Forum, and was appointed to the CMS-sponsored Technical Expert Panel to develop measures for transitions in care. She was invited by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and the Academy of Medicine to serve on the Decision Support Workgroup. In 2011, Dr. Bowles co-founded RightCare Solutions, a software company based on her team's research on discharge of referral decision-making. RightCare was acquired by naviHealth, a Cardinal Health company, in 2015.
