Kathryn Elizabeth Berkseth MD

Dr. Berkseth is an acting instructor of medicine in the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition. She practices general endocrinology at the UW-Roosevelt Endocrinology Clinic where she manages a variety of endocrine diseases including: diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disease, adrenal disease, osteoporosis and male hypogonadism. She also provides dedicated management of obesity and body weight through the UW-Roosevelt Weight Loss Management Center.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Berkseth is also active in NIH sponsored research. Her fellowship research included studies on the central control of body weight and appetite. Her current research is focused on understanding the relationship between obesity and reproductive dysfunction among men as well as studying the factors that impact weight loss and weight regain among obese patients. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals including: Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Obesity.
