Kathryn E. McGoldrick, M.D., F.A.B.A. became professor and chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College and Director of Anesthesiology at Westchester Medical Center in August 2001. Dr. McGoldrick joined the New York Medical College from Yale University School of Medicine, where she was a Professor of Anesthesiology, Chief of the Section of Ambulatory Anesthesia, and Medical Director of Ambulatory Surgery. Previously she served on the faculty at Harvard Medical School and was an attending anesthesiologist at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.
Dr. McGoldrick holds a B.M.S. degree from Dartmouth College, an M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College, and a M.A.H. degree from Yale University. In 1999 she received a Certificate from the Yale Management Program for Physicians, an intensive course that is a combined effort of the Yale School of Management, the School of Epidemiology and Public Health, and the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in pediatrics at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. Her anesthesiology residency was undertaken at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and she completed a fellowship in pediatric anesthesia at Children's Hospital Medical Center and Harvard Medical School.
