Kathleen Schoenauer, RN, BSN, CCM, is Director of Medical & Clinical Operations for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Kathy joined UnitedHealthcare in 2012. Kathy provides clinical operational leadership to a large team of professionals providing care management to over 170,000 WI Medicaid members. Kathy is passionate about innovation and implementing programs that improve the health of those we serve while improving the healthcare system. Kathy has over 20 years of managed care experience in case management, disease management, behavioral health, disability management and FMLA administration. Kathy’s background includes executive management of Medicaid, commercial and labor trust contracts. Kathy is an experienced healthcare leader with medical and behavioral managed care expertise in the areas of disease management, wellness, utilization management, case management, disability and workers compensation. Kathy aligns clinical programs to achieve clinical quality measures and affordability targets. Functional areas of expertise include operations, product design, implementation, sales, and account management. Experienced in designing and delivering services and solutions through collaboration with Medicaid agencies, state and local governments, health plans, employers and labor trust groups.
