Dr. Kathleen Joanne Haley is a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). She is also an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. She received her medical degree from the Penn State College of Medicine. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at New England Deaconess Hospital, followed by fellowships in pulmonary disease at New England Deaconess Hospital and BWH.

Dr. Haley’s clinical interests include asthma, acute respiratory distress syndrome and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Her active research projects investigate surfactant alterations in acute lung injury, the roles of surfactant apoproteins in allergic responses, and the impact of maternal smoking on postnatal lung development and predisposition toward asthma. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and has received funding from the National Institutes of Health.
