Katherine Phoenix Liao MD, MPH

Dr. Liao is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and an Associate Physician in the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology, and Allergy at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is also co-Director of the Cardiovascular Clinic in Rheumatology. Her research focuses on cardiovascular disease (CVD) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and the application of bioinformatics methods for clinical and translational research using electronic medical record (EMR) data. Her current projects examine the relationship between inflammation, cholesterol levels, and cardiovascular risk in RA using blood and imaging biomarkers. As well, her work focuses on developing methods to harness big data to study inflammation and cardiovascular disease.
