Katherine Neuhausen, MD, is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar in the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a clinical instructor in the UCLA Department of Family Medicine and practices at the Mid Valley Family Health Center, which is operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Dr. Neuhausen is currently a volunteer advisor to the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. She is advising CMCS on the design and implementation of the $11.4 billion Delivery System Reform Incentive Program for Texas created by a section 1115 Medicaid waiver.
She is also helping to develop policy on delivery system reform and quality improvement in section 1115 Medicaid waivers. She earned a medical degree from Emory University and completed her family medicine residency training at the University of California, San Francisco, and San Francisco General Hospital. She has practiced in safety net health systems in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta.
