Katherine Leff

Kathy Leff has a combined 34 years of management-level experience in life/health insurance and public-sector managed health care. She currently is the Director, Special Investigations for CareSource, the nation’s 2nd largest Medicaid Managed health care plan. Her responsibilities there include managing a successful Special Investigations Unit dedicated to preventing, identifying, investigating, mitigating, and reporting Medicaid and Medicare fraud, waste, and abuse.

Her past experience includes twenty-seven years in private sector health insurance supporting Auto, Life, Health, Disability, and LTC claims functions from various different management positions. Kathy is a Registered Nurse and has earned the following designations; ALHC (Associate in Life/Health Claims), CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), CPC (Certified Professional Coder), and AHFI (Accredited Healthcare Fraud Investigator). Kathy works out of Dayton, Ohio, at CareSource’s corporate headquarters. She served as Board Chair for NHCAA in 2015.
