Katherine Graw Lamond MD, MS, FACS

Dr. Katherine Lamond is the Medical Director of the Sibley Center for Weight Loss Surgery and Assistant Professor of Surgery for Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She specializes in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, and performs the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy and Adjustable Gastric Banding at Sibley. She is also a surgeon with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians Surgery at Foxhall, where she practices general surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Lamond grew up in Maryland and attended Dartmouth College for her undergraduate education, before moving back to the area to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine. Her internship and residency in General Surgery were completed at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She then completed a fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery.
