Katherine Elizabeth (mulder) Maturen MD, MS

Dr. Maturen was raised in west Michigan and graduated from U of M medical school. Her transitional year internship was at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, and she completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency training and served as a chief resident at the U of M. She completed fellowship training in Body Imaging at Stanford and worked there as a clinical instructor before joining the U of M faculty in 2010. She has been the Abdominal Radiology fellowship program director since 2012 and is also involved in medical school and residency education. She has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and received funding for research in gynecologic imaging, patient centered outcomes assessment in colorectal and gynecologic cancers, and pelvic function in endometrial cancer survivors. She is involved in multiple national organizations including the American Board of Radiology, the ECOG-ACRIN Gynecological Committee, and the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Criteria Panel on Women's Imaging.
