Kate Louise Mangona, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Pediatric Radiology Division.
Dr. Mangona holds a bachelor's degree in Mexican history and Spanish language from the Universidad Veracruzana in Xalapa, Mexico. She earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and completed her radiology residency training at Beaumont Health System in Royal Oak, Michigan. She then received advanced training through a fellowship program in pediatric radiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Dr. Mangona’s research in areas of pediatric care and imaging has resulted in multiple original publications. She has investigated risk factor management after myocardial infarction, cystic lesions in spinal imaging, and computed tomography (CT) in the evaluation of pediatric trauma.
