Kate Duffy Mazan is the founding member of the Clinical Technology Transfer Group, P.L.L.C. (CTTG), located in McLean, Virginia. CTTG is a law firm representing companies and institutions conducting clinical trials. Kate has extensive experience in the negotiation of clinical trial-related contracts and the regulatory review of clinical research practices. Prior to entering private practice, Kate worked at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) where she served as the Chief of NCI's Cancer Information Service (CIS).

In that role she developed a training program used across the country to explain clinical research to cancer patients and the public. Kate holds a law degree from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., a Master of Science in Public Health Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an A.B. from Stonehill College, in Easton, Massachusetts. She is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.
