Kate Clezy MBBS, FRACP

Kate Clezy is an infectious diseases specialist and currently working as Clinical Advisor at Medicines San Frontiere. Kate has had a long standing interest in Infection Prevention and Control in particular in how to engage other staff in the process as well as how to ensure IPC sits firmly within the patient safety program. She also has been key (along with the AMS pharmacist) in the implementation of an Antimicrobial Stewardship program at the POWH in collaboration with the SESLHD, Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District and the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network. At the CEC she works in a number of areas, but has most recently been key in managing the NSW response to the Mycobacterium chimaera outbreak in partnership with the NSW Ministry of Health.
