Kaspar Schindler MD, PhD

Prof. Kaspar Schindler is the Managing Director of the Sleep-Wake-Up-Epilepsy Center SWEZ and, in this role, is responsible in particular for epilepsy consultations and for the pre-epilepsy-based investigation of pharmacoresistant epilepsies. After completing a natural science degree at the Institute of Neuroinformatics of the University / ETH Zurich, he completed his clinical training in Bern, Zurich and Bonn.
He specialized in the field of epileptology including the pre-epilepsy surgery, which has been successfully developed and expanded in recent years at our clinic. His main scientific interest is the electrophysiological dynamics of epileptic seizures with the practical goal of improved diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
