Karsten Mader PhD

Dr. Karsten is interested in understanding and optimizing drug delivery systems to improve drug therapy. He is working interdisciplinary and international with our cooperation partners in chemistry, physics, and medicine on biodegradable lipid and polymer-based DDS. He succeeded in the first measurement of the highly acidic microclimate in degrading PLGA implants (pH 2). Currently, his main activities are in the field of Nano-DDS and local parenteral delivery to special organs.
