Dr. Karl-Andre Lalonde trained as a mechanical engineer prior to entering the world of medicine. He completed medical school at the University of Ottawa and subsequently completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the University of Ottawa in 2004. He went on fellowship training in Foot and Ankle surgery in Pittsburgh , PA and in Vancouver BC. He also completed an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at the New Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Since joining the Clinical Faculty at the University of Ottawa, he has completed in Masters of Education (2012) and has worked at developing the Foot and Ankle surgery program at the Ottawa Hospital. He is co-chair of the Royal College of Canada Orthopaedic Surgery Examination Board.
