Karin Schindler PhD

Dr. Karin Schindler, PhD, is a Research Associate in the Department of Medicine III and Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Medical University of Vienna for more than 15 years. She is involved in various national and international projects in the area of obesity, nutrition, old age, and disease. She also works in the Austrian Ministry of Health as head of the Department of Mother, Child, Adolescence, and Gender Health and Nutrition. In this function she is responsible for organizing the conference “People’s Food - people’s Health: Towards Healthy and Sustainable European Food Systems" from 22nd-23rd November 2018 as an official event of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
