Connect with the speaker?

Karen established Deloitte UK’s Centre for Health Solutions, the research arm of Deloitte’s healthcare and life sciences practices, in November 2011. Its goal is to inform interested stakeholders about emerging trends, challenges, opportunities and examples of good practice. Using both primary and secondary research, and rigorous analysis to drive unique perspectives, the Centre seeks to be a trusted source for relevant, timely, and reliable insights. Karen’s recent healthcare reports, include Healthcare and life sciences predictions 2020; Connected health; Vital Signs: How to deliver better healthcare across Europe; and Primary care today and tomorrow: adapting to survive. Three enablers in these reports are: the role of digital technology; the workforce working differently and standardising systems and processes. Karen is a member of the Institute of Chartered Public Finance and Accountants and a Non-Executive Director at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. In 2002 Karen received an OBE for her healthcare research work.
