Karen J. Miller, MD is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician in the Center for Children with Special Needs at Tufts Children's Hospital. She is also the Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program Director and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Tufts School of Medicine. She received board certification in Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.

Dr. Miller was a founding member of the Boston Autism Consortium, a groundbreaking collaboration between major Boston academic centers and research groups investigating, diagnosing, and treating autism with significant impact on the genetics of autism, family support, and clinical care.

Dr. Miller’s career has focused on improving the care provided at all levels for children with developmental disabilities, specifically autism. She serves on national organizations such as the Society for Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, and the National Center for Learning Disabilities which has pioneered an award-winning website for parents and professionals, UNDERSTOOD.org. She trains primary care physicians at the CCSN and nationally. She has developed and presented training programs on autism and other disabilities for the American Academy of Pediatrics for the last 20 years.
