Karen Cristine Goncalves Dos Santos PhD

Dr. Karen Cristine Goncalves Dos Santos, Ph.D. has a bachelor's degree in Biology (focus on ecology and biodiversity). During Karen's bachelor's degree, Karen researched the interaction of Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus and Azospirillum brasiliensis and Trichoderma harzianum with the Mate plant ( Ilex paraguariensis) under the direction of Cristian A. Rojas and Cleto Peres. Karen currently doing Karen Ph.D. (Cellular and molecular biology) with Dr. Hugo Germain and Dr. Isabel Desgagne-Penix at UQTR on Transcriptomics and metabolomics of Arabidopsis in response to fungal virulence proteins. Karen did the analysis of Karen transcriptomic and metabolomic data and Karen have collaborated in other projects throughout Karen's Ph.D. doing de novo transcriptome assembly and annotation.
