Karen A. Brown MS, MLS(ASCP)

A distinguished educator in hematology, Karen Brown, MS, MLS(ASCP), has been an advocate for the medical laboratory profession, for certification and for encouraging students to pursue a career in laboratory medicine.

A longtime ASCP volunteer, Ms. Brown has served as Chair of the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) Board of Governors from 2013 to 2015. She has also served as Chair of the Council of Laboratory Professionals, and as a member on the ASCP Board of Directors, the Commission on Membership and the Commission on Continuing and Professional Development, as well as taught Workshops for Laboratory Professionals for many years.
