Karan Lal DO

Dr. Karan Lal is a double board-certified dermatologist who specializes in pediatrics and adult dermatology, laser surgery, soft tissue filler augmentation, body sculpting, and pigmentary abnormalities of the skin, and enjoys treating patients from birth onwards. Dr. Lal has a passion for treating patients from a range of backgrounds. He has been featured in many media publications, including ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, and Marie Claire.

His impressive educational background serves as a demonstration of his long-time interest and dedication to the field of dermatology. After high school, Dr. Lal completed a seven-year accelerated combined medical program at the New York Institute of Technolog,y where he was then selected to be an academic medical scholar. He went on to receive his Master of Science in neuroscience as well as a scholarship for three years of medical school and graduate training. After completing his internal medicine internship at the University of Connecticut Medical Center, Dr. Lal then went on to do his three-year dermatology residency at the University of Massachusetts, where he later stayed on to complete a pediatric dermatology fellowship.

He holds a special interest in laser surgery, soft tissue filler augmentation, body sculpting, and pigmentary abnormalities of the skin and enjoys treating patients from birth onwards. And as the only dual fellowship-trained cosmetic and pediatric dermatologist in the U.S., he eagerly shares his specialist knowledge with others. He is a well-known, sought-after speaker at various national conferences and events, while also being an active mentor to medical students and residents.
