Kara Wada, MD is a quadruple board-certified adult and pediatric allergy/immunology and lifestyle medicine physician turned Sjogren's patient, mentor & embedded critic. Dr. Wada helps moms become immune confident- thriving through the ups and downs of living with health challenges, navigating healthcare and wellness with ease, and empowering us to harness the power of habits for healing.
Dr. Kara earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency, Allergy/Immunology, and Medical Education fellowships at The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She has also completed advanced coursework in Lifestyle Medicine. She currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at The Ohio State University and Co-directs the PARS/CORS program.
Kara hosts the Becoming Immune Confident Podcast and has been featured on NPR, US News & World Reports, Popular Science, and Reader’s Digest as well as multiple podcasts. Dr. Wada lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband, Dr. Akira Wada, and their children, Charlotte, Josephine, and Oliver.
