Dr. Kanishka Sircar is an Associate Professor in Pathology and Translational Molecular Pathology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX). He obtained his M.D. from McGill University (Montreal, QC), completed internship at the University of Calgary (Calgary, AB), residency training in Anatomical Pathology at McMaster University (Hamilton, ON) and subspecialty fellowships in Oncologic and Genitourinary Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY). He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology in both Canada and the USA. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Pathology at McGill University with a cross appointment in Urology.

Dr. Sircar is an experienced diagnostician and educator in Genitourinary Pathology who has served as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Sircar lectures nationally and internationally on a range of Genitourinary Pathology topics. He research interests include examining the lethal phenotype of prostate cancer as well as metastatic and sarcomatoid renal carcinoma using functional genomics approaches.
