Dr Kamlen Pillay is a specialist Plastic, Reconstructive & Hand Surgeon, based in Cape Town and Europe. He is a Fellow of the College of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons of South Africa and holds qualifications and memberships in both the USA and Europe. Dr Pillay gained vast surgical experience in the disciplines of Orthopaedics, General & Plastic Surgery before his residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Cape Town. His passion for plastic surgery led him to the USA where he obtained his diploma in aesthetic medicine from the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. His unique journey toward becoming a plastic surgeon saw him practice in the field on minimally invasive cosmetic surgery and aesthetic medicine for over a decade, before undergoing rigorous training as a registrar in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the world-famous Groote Schuur Hospital.

As the Medical Director of the Wembley MediSpa, and the Specialist Cosmetic Institutes (SCIn) of South Africa, Dr Pillay, ensures that the clinics are dedicated to cutting edge, holistic Aesthetic and Cosmetic procedures. He holds memberships with a number of professional associations including the World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine Society of South Africa and the UIME. His key areas of interest include the use of stem cells and PRP in anti-aging and cosmetic procedures as well as the use of lasers in Aesthetic medicine. Dr Pillay’s honest and exacting approach to Aesthetic Practice and his keen eye for detail has attracted a number of international celebrities and South African icons to covet his expert services. He has thus performed, in excess of 20000 non-surgical procedures over the last decade.
