Kamilah A. Dowling DNP, RN, CPNP

Kamilah Dowling, DNP, RN, CPNP, is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner on the pediatric team at Montefiore Medical Centers Department of Neurological Surgery. She graduated from Columbia University with her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Masters in Science, she was accepted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society in nursing.

Kamilah provides clinical evaluations, pre and post op care for pediatric Neurosurgical conditions. She collaborates with providers in both the inpatient and outpatient settings in order to provide thorough care for her patients. Kamilah has been involved in publishing scholarly articles working alongside neurological surgery residents and attending physicians on various projects including neurosurgical history and craniofacial disorders. Kamilah has given platform presentations on various neurosurgical disorders locally as well as internationally. In addition to working as a Nurse Practitioner, she works as an Assistant Professor of Nursing , helping to train nursing students at Columbia University School of Nursing. She is a member of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. Kamilah recognizes family members as extended members of our team and has a passion for educating parents and family members on their child’s condition.
