Dr. Kalyn M. Briggs has been an occupational therapist for over 15 years, receiving her Master of Science degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND in 2002, and her Ph.D. in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2012. Dr. Briggs’s practice area of experience is with the adult population, specifically with adults in the home health practice setting. Her research interests and experience include stroke and stroke rehabilitation, and more recently addressing rural healthcare needs of adults with neurological conditions.

Dr. Briggs has been an active volunteer with AOTA, NBCOT, and MOTA. She is currently serving as the Capacity Lead with the Academic Special Interest Section (AESIS) with AOTA. She has a passion for teaching and learning in the field of occupational therapy and is excited about the many opportunities that are available for growing occupational therapy in the state of Montana and the region.

Dr. Briggs is a Montana native, born and raised in Glendive, with family still residing there. Dr. Briggs has a 10-year-old son and spends most of her time outside of work enjoying the many activities her son is involved in. Dr. Briggs serves as the Director of Academic Fieldwork for the Rocky Mountain College, Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program.
