Dr. Justin Gundara Associate Professor Justin Gundara is an endocrine surgeon with additional subspecialty interests in hepato-pancreato-biliary, general and academic surgery. He currently maintains a Staff Specialist position with Metro South, QLD Health, and has academic appointments with the University of Queensland and Griffith University. He is currently the Clinical Lead in Surgery at Logan Clinical School (Griffith University) and maintains a strong interest in clinical teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He attends to private patients at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital.
In addition, he is heavily involved in professional development, governance, and surgical training particularly through his work with the Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons sub-specialty body and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is presently the only Queensland clinician involved in the drafting of bi-national (Australia/NZ) guidelines for the management of parathyroid disease and contributes to a sub-committee responsible for the initiation of the inaugural post-fellowship training program in Endocrine Surgery throughout Australia and New Zealand.
