Junnu Leikola MD, PhD

Dr. Leikola's scientific research is the craniofacial and cleft unit focuses on multidisciplinary teamwork and long-term follow-up of all patient groups. The main topic of his craniosynostosis research is to analyze the long-term effects of the surgical intervention in the intracranial volume and brain anatomy and function. His Follow-up studies are performed in collaboration with the Department of Radiology. The main goal of his research is to find optimal treatment time and method for different patients with craniosynostosis or craniofacial deformities.
